Anika Noni Rose, an American performer and actress. The most famous role she has played is Tiana The first Disney African American princess. In 2011, she was honoured as one of the Disney Legend. Rose appeared in Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born June 6, 1972) is an American actress and singer. She was best known for her role as Tiana, the Disney Princess, who was the first African American Princess to appear in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. The most famous of her roles is the role of Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls (2005) and for her performance as LaVerne Jinglebox Ganner in the Starz the series Power. She is also known for her performance in the theatre, particularly due to her roles in the lead role of Emmie Thibodeaux in Caroline or Change, the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger, who played The Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.

Pivarnick became famous after she was a part of the award-winning cast of reality M.T.V. series Jersey Shore in 2010 for only a handful of episodes during season one as well as season two.
